Job Description:
A company is looking for a System Programmer - IMS System
Programmer.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade, and maintain IMS software and related components
on IBM z/OS mainframes
Configure and optimize IMS systems for high availability and
performance
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply fixes or
patches as needed
Required Qualifications:
Experience with IBM MVS z/OS Mainframe operating systems
Proficiency in IMS/TM, IMS/DB, and related BMC IMS tools
Knowledge of IMS application programming in Cobol and/or PL/1
Familiarity with z/OS MVS Assembler, PL/1, COBOL, and JCL
languages
Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, and
VTAM
