ATHENA places a high value on customer service, accountability and getting the job done.Position Overview:Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their outpatient rehabilitation team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various physical and cognitive challenges that impact their daily activities and independence. This role requires a commitment to client-centered care, a passion for enhancing clients' quality of life, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities and limitations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client-centered goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to address clients' needs, including activity modification, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide education and training to clients and their families on adaptive techniques, energy conservation strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote independence and well-being. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and professional standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure holistic and coordinated care. Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of current research and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligible for licensure). Experience in outpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
